In Thailand you need to have an international driving license. In case you do not have one, you might have to pay a fine to the police.
- Am I allowed to enter toll ways?
It is strictly forbidden to get onto toll ways in Thailand. Blue signs are indicating toll ways and you should avoid going up in any case. The usual fine is 500 Baht, should you forget about it. Please remember to turn your navigation to “avoid toll ways”.
- Does Big Bike Rental Bangkok deliver and pick up bikes to/from certain locations?
Yes, we offer deliveries. Within Bangkok we charge 1,000 one way or 1,800 for a round trip. So you can relax and don’t have to come to our shop. For destinations further away, we charge the rate depending on the bike model and distance. Please send us your request accordingly.
- Do you have a minimum rental duration?
We work with a minimum rental duration of 3 days.
- How long in advance should I book?
We recommend to book your bike(s) at least 4 weeks in advance. This increases the chance that you get the brand and model you want. To block the bike, we request a down payment of 50% of the total rental amount.
- When do I have to pay for my bike?
Once you book a bike, we request a down payment of 50%. You can transfer the money via bank transfer or through PayPal. The final payment is due on the first day of rental.
- How does the deposit look like?
For each bike we request a deposit of 10,000 Baht and a passport as guarantee. Should you want to keep your passport, we offer the option of a deposit of 25,000 Baht along with a copy of your passport.
- I need help to plan the route. Who can help me?
